Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
getqrcode does not collect any personal data. No accounts, no analytics, no cookies, no server-side processing.
The QR codes you generate and any images you upload for scanning are processed entirely in your browser. The content is never sent to a server. We can't see it, we don't store it, and we don't share it.
What we don't collect
- Your QR code content
- Uploaded images (decoding happens client-side)
- Your IP address for any purpose beyond serving the page
- Cookies or local storage beyond the bare minimum
- Analytics, page views, or behavioral tracking
What we do collect
Nothing about you. The site is served as static files from Vercel's CDN. The CDN may log basic request data (IP, user agent, URL) for operational purposes like rate limiting and abuse prevention, but this is standard infrastructure logging that we do not access or analyze.
Third-party services
The site loads Google Fonts for typography. Google may set cookies for this. If you prefer not to be tracked by Google Fonts, use a browser extension like Privacy Badger or a browser with built-in tracking protection.
If we add advertising in the future (e.g., Google AdSense), we will update this page. The advertising would be privacy-respecting, contextual ads only — no behavioral targeting.
Open source
The source code for getqrcode is available on GitHub. You can audit the privacy claims yourself, host your own version, or contribute improvements.
